About Marie

Marie Sauze is a French soprano based in Chicago and Paris, performing across opera, musical theater, and folk genres. She also sings with Consonance – Chicago Choral Artists and is one half of the folk duo The Maidans, alongside her wife, Aidan Spencer. A graduate of Luther College and the Cours Florent theater program in Paris, Marie has performed roles including Susanna, Zerlina, and Fantine. In addition to performing, she teaches music, works in arts communications, and enjoys photography, writing, and making comics.
